parent (in the Contents window) - the element right above a level in reference to a given element in the knowledge tree in Contents. Use Ctrl+Up to see the parent of the currently displayed element. Root of the tree is the only element that has no parent. All children of element X have element X for parent. See: Tree structure at Wikipedia
